Louise is a Research Fellow at MCRI, an honorary psychologist with the RCH and is a lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne. Louise has a master's degree and a PhD in psychology from the University of Melbourne. She is an experienced researcher in the areas of chronic illness and psychological outcomes and developing psychological interventions for children and young people experiencing anxiety and depression.  

Her work has been supported by a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Medical Research Future Fund, Foundation for Children and the Myer Foundation. Louise has a strong commitment to improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and is particularly passionate about supporting young people with medical conditions as they are at the greatest risk of mental health concerns.
