Belinda Horton

Program Director, RCH

Belinda joined MCRI in October 2019 to work with the team to develop the Strategy and is now with RCH to oversee its implementation over the next two years. Belinda is a Mental Health Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in mental health care, organisational development, and quality improvement. After ten years as CEO of PANDA, Belinda undertook a range of service development project roles in public and community health and completed her MBA. She became a Fellow with the Institute of Managers and Leaders and a Chartered Manager with the UK Institute of Chartered Managers. Belinda continues to work as a Mental Health Occupational Therapist in a perinatal mental health private practice.

Belinda is looking forward to children and their families being at the centre of evidence-based and consistent mental health care and that staff are equipped and supported to provide this care as part of their routine practices.

At Mental Health Central we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, gather and work. We recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

We acknowledge all people with a lived or living experience of mental ill-health and recovery. At the Campus, we particularly acknowledge children, young people, families, carers, and supporters. We recognise their vital contribution and value the courage of those who share this unique perspective for the purpose of learning and growing together to achieve better outcomes for the Campus, staff, sector, and all people of lived experience.
