Greg Hammond

Mental Health Central Digital Administrator, MCRI

Previous to joining MCRI as our web site content administrator in 2021, Greg was a technology manager and systems administrator in various community-based organisations managing technology uptake in Allied Health, General Practice, First Nations health and education, and dentistry. Greg's earlier career was as a nurse and family therapist in psychiatric and general tertiary and primary health settings. Greg was senior clinician in innovative youth homelessness, addictions, and domestic violence programs.

Greg is keen to see digital platforms showcase our team's wonderful work, informing and resourcing clinicians, educators, researchers, and young people and their friends and families. The inclusion of lived experience as a foundation to the Strategy is something Greg hopes will be the key enabler, and will supercharge the positive outcomes that unfold for young people and families as our initiatives progress.

At Mental Health Central we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, gather and work. We recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

We acknowledge all people with a lived or living experience of mental ill-health and recovery. At the Campus, we particularly acknowledge children, young people, families, carers, and supporters. We recognise their vital contribution and value the courage of those who share this unique perspective for the purpose of learning and growing together to achieve better outcomes for the Campus, staff, sector, and all people of lived experience.
