16/06/2023

We are excited to announce a fantastic funding opportunity for two new mental health research projects within the campus.

Applications for these grants are now open and will close by midday Friday 14 July 2023.

Do you have a new mental health research project in mind that could benefit from this funding? Here’s what you need to know.

About the projects:

  • the project must address the mental health and/or social-emotional wellbeing of infants, children and/or their families who attend our campus
  • a clear pathway to implementation and collaboration across campus partners must be evident
  • projects that address unmet needs and/or include people with lived or living experience of mental ill health are particularly encouraged

About the funding:

  • funding is available for up to two years per project
  • the maximum budget is $250,000

About the decision-making process:

  • initial expressions of interest will be reviewed by members of the Campus Mental Health Strategy Research Advisory Group, which includes Lived Experience Advisors
  • short-listed applications will be progressed to the full application stage
  • the goal of this is to minimise the burden on busy colleagues and encourage interdisciplinary teams to work collaboratively across the RCH, MCRI, and University of Melbourne Paediatrics department

How to apply?

Simply complete the CMHS Research Project EOI application form (pdf) and submit it to [email protected] by midday Friday 14 July. To learn more you can read the Research Project EOI Overview document (pdf)
