19/02/2026
This Australian-first, evidence-based clinical practice guideline provides guidance for the identification, assessment, and management of suicide and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) in children and adolescents aged 0–19 years.

The Suicide and Non-suicidal Self-injury in Children and Adolescents: Evidence-based Clinical Practice Guideline is intended to support professionals, including both health and non-health professionals, across healthcare, education, and community settings to deliver safe, timely, and developmentally appropriate support and care, informed by the best available evidence, and clinical and lived experience.
Developed in partnership with clinicians, researchers, young people, and carers from across Australia, this guideline reflects a shared commitment to improving outcomes for children and adolescents experiencing suicide and NSSI.

You There? by Jeanette Chan (she/they)
Jeanette said, "The artwork appears to have the word 'HELP' collaged on it, but it actually says 'HELR'. This small but significant detail symbolises the difficulty folks face in seeking help. Yet, what I've perceived to be my most incomprehensible innermost thoughts have somehow always found a home in others. May you be one of the many outstretched hands ready and waiting to walk alongside folks as they reach out for support on their journey".
