The Behaviour Support Profile (BSP) is a tool in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) that documents a patient’s communication needs, sensory sensitivities, and coping strategies to support safer, smoother, trauma-informed preventative care.
We've put together a tip sheet to support staff understanding of the BSP in the EMR and how the tool can be used to ensure every interaction at the RCH goes smoothly, with less distress for children, young people, families, and staff.
