About this course
This e-Learn introduces Melbourne Children's Campus staff to information about mental health and wellbeing that are important for working with patients, families and each other.
Keeping the mental health and wellbeing of patients, families and ourselves in mind as part of everyday work has been demonstrated to enhance patient care outcomes, increase staff satisfaction, and improve effectiveness of healthcare delivery. This course helps us to think about patient and family mental health and wellbeing as we work together to provide great care.
The aims of this course are to:
- increase awareness that mental health and wellbeing are integral to patient, family and staff wellbeing
- improve staff mental health literacy and knowledge
- increase understanding about the difference between mental health and wellbeing and mental health disorders
- develop confidence to be part of conversations regarding mental health and wellbeing with patients, families and colleagues
- provide information about how to support your own and colleagues’ mental health and wellbeing
We developed this eLearn with lived experience advisors and campus staff from differing areas, craft groups, and backgrounds. This e-Learn is open to all Campus staff.
