Paving the Way: Trauma-Informed Preventative Care at The Royal Children’s Hospital Policy Summary

We've developed a policy summary for embedding trauma-informed preventative care at The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH).

Directed towards senior leadership, the policy summary outlines the RCH's role in recognising, addressing, and preventing the impact of psychological and emotional trauma at the RCH.

The summary emphasises an organisation-wide approach, developing a shared language, leadership commitment, and system-wide integration of trauma-informed practices. It connects TIPC to national and Victorian policy frameworks, positioning the RCH as a leader in paediatric trauma-informed care and advocating for sustainable implementation to improve outcomes for children, families, and staff.
